I'm back here blogging again... Last semester was my toughest semester I have ever been through... Despite the fact that the number of subjects I'm taking is exactly the same as the FALL semester, it's double the stress... Looking back, I noticed that the lecturers have playing a whole fun of my group and with that, all my group members pushes everything to me in order to get it done... Pity of me, right? No wonder I collapsed during the last day of my exams, during my Physics... I have no idea how it happens and it was the first time in history it happened to me.

My perseverance to move on whenever I look back myself while in SCSA have been a great blessing... Here it some quotations taken out from my reflective writing of this project:

"Throughout my project in SCSA, I have gained so much, more than I have ever expected from an educational experience. Not only have I gained a better understanding of teachers, children (students), cerebral palsy and autism, but also the world as a whole. In the future, I would definitely like to be involved again in a volunteer work for several reasons. First, I sincerely loved working with children and young adults. It has made me feel good because I knew I was serving as a mentor to some of these young children.

On the other hand, it has made me feel better about myself when I get to volunteer and serve the community I am in right now. I always left with a feeling of hope, as if I had made a difference in the world. Undeniably, I enjoyed being part of something so wonderful, and I would love to participate in a project like this again in the future. I think this world would be a better place if everyone would volunteer some of their time in their community, seeing that it can give one a sense of purpose, responsibility, and compassion for others.

In sum, reflecting on what I have learnt is one of the most important goals of a service learning experience. It will help to develop my critical thinking skills as well as my capacity to be resourceful as I define, analyze and interpret the new social experiences I have had volunteered my service at SCSA. As I reflect those experiences I had in SCSA, it was indeed a rewarding experience, despite the fact that there were some challenges I need to face while handling these ‘special’ children.

In my life now, I am trying to be someone who is committed to living fully rather than settling for mere existence. As a result, I loved to get myself involved with a wide range of people and hoping that by the end of the day, my presence will bring them love, joy, peace and happiness in their lives. Similarly, I have learnt that people will forget what I said and what I did, but people will never forget how I made them feel. In fact, I had a wonderful time when I was in SCSA and I had made the decision to visit the center again whenever I have the spare time. That’s for sure!"

Just some updates: It has been awhile since I had last blog. First of all, I've been so busy with my studies and projects and lots of stuffs.... And now, I'm thinking whether I should put this fact in as my blog is for my precious moments and not the sad stuffs.... Well, that's my own opinion but I still insisted to have this fact in.. My grandad had passed away recently on the 20th of March 2005 and it had a BIG impact on me... my quizzes results dropped badly, can't sleep every night- thinking of him... missed him so much. Tears just running wildly down my cheeks...

And worst of all, friends around me thought that I'm so happy and I'm just an unusual child with all the intelligence in me... but where's the truth?? They thought my mid-term exam results were superb though I know that I haven't put much effort in doing so. Moreover, nowadays, my whole body are aching terribly but assignments and projects need to be done and I'm in the process preparing for my final exams which will be in a week time....

I'm aware this is the time for bereavement and I promised myself not to go into depression!! No more of all these 'BAD' stuff, which is what i considered them! Well, well... guess it's time for me to pen-off now as i'm so so tired... not have much rest and I'm still waiting for another new day to come.... striving to live for the best since I'm here now in the Earth! =)
